Merlin Plastics have been recycling oil containers since 2011 keeping the materials out of landfills and waterways. The containers are collected and then processed into resin pellets that are sold to various manufacturing companies to make new high quality commercial and industrial products as an alternative to virgin resin.
Provinces such as British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba also have their own used oil recycling program and Merlin Plastics works with them to process their used oil plastic containers.
